FE College West Midlands: Interim assignment – Manager of Workforce Development Team. Following from internal reorganisation, review college wide approach to supporting employer engagement and introduce new organisational arrangements aimed at delivering organisational targets.

Interim MD Private Training Provider - New start development -establishing strategically important relationships to market, managing training delivery in chosen sectors and facilitating awarding body centre accreditation and delivery  models for supporting future client business.

FE College North England Management Accountant - Reviewed staffing and premises cost and produced 3 year budgetary forecast for college strategic planning process.

Interim Head of Training Large National Employer - Reviewed organisational structure and asked to cover management responsibilities in terms of leading staff and developing external stakeholder relationships whilst permanent recruitment process undertaken.

Consultancy:

FE College South East – Review of employer engagement strategy and mechanisms against the new employer responsiveness quality Standard. Set out proposals for future engagement strategy and organisational structure and oversee implementation with senior managers.

Large National PLC Employer – Review of internal training function and production of organisation training strategy. Implementation of restructured and reorganised arrangements, including on-going management support and establishment of third party arrangements, production of financial forecast and negotiation with public sector funding bodies.    

Large National Retailer – Support provided to Head of HR in relation to review of company training strategy and development of specific workforce development proposals

National Employer PLC -   Provided strategic management team building training support to newly formed service division focussed on service strategy and target setting for the new service     

Educational Publisher – Provide expert support in relation to development of Sector Skills Council backed training model and subsequent development of relationships with key stakeholders.

Large Leisure Industry Employer – Provide advice and guidance concerning the development of stakeholder engagement strategies for working with key public sector bodies.

Large Care Sector Employer - Provision of HR advice and guidance with regard to discipline and grievance and chairing staff disciplinary appeals

Executive Resourcing National Practice – Interview and short-list candidates for Local authority client senior management positions.

Private Training Provider - Preparation of ESF tender documents and identification of bid partners for project submissions.

FE College Consortia – Review of employer engagement across the region and production of recommendations to improve FE college responsiveness and engagement in the area.

Employer Training:

  • Secured fully funded care training provision delivered in the workplace by FE Colleges to a  national care staff agency.
  • Facilitated programmes of warehouse and distribution training for large specialist manufacturing companies.
  •  Provided government funding training working in partnership with FE colleges for large leisure industry based client.
  • Provided training cost effectively to care organisation unable to obtain government funding using specialist training provider.
