Who is it for? An NVQ Level 2 in Administration in suitable for
people who have some individual responsibility and wish to improve their skills
so their job performance and job satisfaction can be increased. What will people learn? To complete the award, you must complete five core units, one unit on data storage and two optional units that will tailor the award to your role and industrial sector. As NVQs are delivered ‘on the job’ the amount of disruption to work is minimal and candidates can demonstrate they are fully competent in all areas of their job. Each learner will gather evidence which
demonstrates how they work and what they know and understand in relation to the
units they wish to achieve. This will be done in conjunction with your assessor. What will people achieve? You will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Administration certificate on completion of the required units. To achieve this qualification candidates do not have to leave their workplace and there are no set deadlines for completion. Candidates will be asked to perform tasks that are part of their usual working day, as well as ones that aren’t, that way you will feel confident on all areas of your job.
NVQs are for all employees; there are no age limits
or constraints for completion. What will people learn? Performing Manufacturing Operations Level 2 Why consider this programme? The NVQ in Performing Manufacturing Operations
can offer candidates a chance to improve your skills, increase value to
employers and enhance future career prospects, by recognising the ability of the
candidate to perform within the workplace. Who is it for? It is aimed at those people working in a wide range
of manufacturing environments and can be tailored by unit chose to individual
organisations. What will people learn? This NVQ builds upon the skills developed through
candidates job and builds on skills already existing. The award covers work load
management and controlling manufacturing operations as well as optional units
including quality control or producing finished products. What will people achieve? You will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations certificate on completion of the required units. To achieve this qualification candidates do not have to leave their workplace and there are no set deadlines for completion. Candidates will be asked to perform tasks that are part of their usual working day, as well as ones that aren’t, that way you will feel confident on all areas of your job. Candidates that complete this NVQ can elect to continue on to a Modern Apprenticeship or sector based specialist qualifications.
Business Improvement Techniques Level 2 Who is it for? The NVQ Level 2 in BIT is suitable for those who work
within teams and require a basic understanding of business improvement
techniques. What will people learn? The NVQ Level 2 in BIT is suitable for those who work
within teams and require a basic understanding of business improvement
techniques. What will people achieve? Each candidate will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Business Improvement Techniques certificate on completion of the required units. Who is it for? The NVQ Level 2 is suitable for those who have the
skills to perform efficiently, non-complex and routine activities. The award
consists of 5 mandatory units and 5 optional choices tailored to individuals’
working role. What will people learn? The award covers a range of areas associated with
current manufacturing practices and include areas such as Health and Safety,
Communication and quality as well as units related to mixing and heat treatment What will people achieve? Each candidate will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Manufacturing Operations certificate on completion of the required units. To achieve this qualification candidates do not have to leave their workplace and there are no set deadlines for completion. Candidates will be asked to perform tasks that are part of their usual working day, as well as ones that aren’t, that way you will feel confident on all areas of your job.
Why consider this programme? Team leaders are best perceived as being part
of a team; first and foremost they are practitioners or operators working
alongside other team members. Being leaders of teams augments this role, but
does not significantly affect their general responsibility to engage in the same
or complementary job tasks as the other team members. Given that teams are
likely to contain relatively small numbers of people (probably in the range 6 –
12), the team leader’s span of control is quite small. This programme has been
developed to meet these needs Who is it for? The Level 2 Introductory Certificate in Team Leading aims to give practising or potential team and cell leaders the foundation for their formal development in this role. The programme has two primary objectives:
What will people learn? Over a Minimum of 36 guided learning hours, including assessment, people will learn “The Role of the Team Leader” What will people achieve? The award of the team leading Introductory
certificate, as well as the experiential training to enable training to be
applied in the work place. On completion, successful candidates may benefit from career enhancement and/or progress to any of the further qualifications listed, according to their circumstances:
Retail Skills 2 (Level 3 also available) Who is it for? NVQs are for all employees; there are no age limits or constraints for completion. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete eight units, including three mandatory units and five optional units. What will people learn? Like all NVQs, this qualification is competence based. This means that it is linked to the candidate's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. Candidates plan a programme of development with their assessor and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove that they are competent and knowledgeable in their work role What will people achieve? Each candidate will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Retail Operations on completion of the required units. Operations can offer candidates a chance to improve your skills, increase value
to employers and enhance future career prospects, by recognising the ability of
the candidate to perform within the workplace. Who is it for? An NVQ Level 2 in Distribution, Warehouse and Storage
Operations in suitable for people who have some individual responsibility and
wish to improve their skills so their job performance and job satisfaction can
be increased. What will people learn? The award covers a range of areas associated with
current distribution and storage practices and include areas such as Health and
Safety, security and working effectively, as well as units tailored to your role
which can include, receiving goods into storage, dispatching goods, assembling
bulk orders and picking stock. What will people achieve? Each candidate will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Distribution, Warehousing and Storage Operations certificate on completion of the required units. To achieve this qualification candidates do not have to leave their workplace and there are no set deadlines for completion. Candidates will be asked to perform tasks that are part of their usual working day, as well as ones that aren’t, that way you will feel confident on all areas of your job.
Health and Social Care Level 2, (Level 3 & 4 also available) Who is it for? The OCR Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is designed to reflect the work of candidates who deliver Health and Social Care to clients. This award is about direct care, where the focus is hands-on care, (doing things for clients) enablement care, and development and maintenance of the clients independence (supporting and enabling clients to do things for themselves). What will people learn? Employees will benefit from the recognition of existing skills and the opportunity to develop new skills. A clearer understanding of their responsibility within their organisation should occur with improvements in staff performance and quality of service provided. What will people achieve? To achieve this qualification, candidates must achieve 6 units made up of 2 Core units, 2 Optional units and the remaining 2 units can be taken from either the core group or optional group. If candidates are working in ‘Social Care’, it is advised by the Social Care Councils that candidates undertake the 4 core units in order to gain council recognition. Candidates can also undertake additional units, although these are not required to complete the qualification.
Cleaning and Support Services Level 2 (level 1 also available) Who is it for? This course is suitable for operatives within the

Building and Construction Level 2,3,4 Who is it for? These qualifications are intended for people already working in construction and civil engineering and are available to suit different levels of skill and experience. Learners demonstrate skills in various aspects of building and maintenance. NVQs are available at five levels of achievement that reflect the various technical and supervisory skills, knowledge and experience which employees should have as they progress in their industry. What will people achieve? The construction industry offers excellent career prospects and people entering it can progress through their employment by way of NVQ from level 2 to NVQ level 5, which is degree level equivalent. At each stage of their career the relevant CSCS card is available from red trainee to black senior management. |
